About Cleansing Detox Retreats

In Tony Samara's work, the physical body is seen as the temple, and this temple should be glowing with light, yet we often forget about our body until we get sick. Therefore, cleansing retreats form an intrinsic part of this spiritual path.

Tony Samara's cleansing retreat programmes offer morning and afternoon talks/satsangs interspersed with energy exercises, dream work, gentle exercises (such as journeys to the heart and journeys to the essence), visualisations (such as meditations that harmonise mind and body and mind and emotions) strong meditation practices (such as the whirling meditation), breathing exercises and group exercises drawn from his wealth of experience with ancient shamanic, oriental and zen buddhist traditions.

They are very powerful detoxification programmes due to the inclusion of herbal detox preparations, liquid superfoods and other special herbal preparations. Theriaca, Tony's healing tea, created as a gift for humanity, will also be part of the detox programme.

The participants will also be able to pamper themselves with a massage, available at an extra cost. There will be some free time for walks in nature, for writing in journals and time for integrating the wisdoms from the various satsang sessions.

The Samara School of Meditation (SSOM) — Introduction

SSOM is a unique programme where people can work with Tony Samara on a regular basis.

The intention of the SSOM programme is to realise the evolution of human consciousness, which Tony believes we can do using meditation and other simple practices.

In a direct and simple way that everyone can understand, Tony, at each event, will explain how each individual can practically integrate greater acceptance, peace and joy into their daily lives.

Tony will:

— Share knowledge of everything with everyone;

— Work energetically and help students experience their higher selves;

— Speak about many themes such as health, food, relationships, work, karma, sacred sexuality, the moon, earth changes and many aspects that one has to deal with on a regular basis;

— Provide detoxes to help everyone’s bodies with the transformation (Tony explains in his many programmes that the body is our temple and that the food we eat helps us to create a strong foundation that allows inner work and transformation to take place.);

— Transmit much of the wisdom beyond words.

The learnings are about being truly spiritual in every moment of everyday life and bringing more light into the world.

On the surface, sometimes the work may seem simple and of no real use, but what is interesting to realise that spirituality is not a mental concept nor is it about learning lessons, it is about understanding from your real depth, where all is one, what being a Noble human being Truly means. Once this has been understood, the work is to stay in this space, to not fall back into the mundane and for this one may need a teacher who can help not only by words but on many other levels.

The difference between people who are unmoved by life’s challenges and those who are moved is that people who are unmoved know and understand the depth of being centred in knowledge.

Knowledge is beyond just words or mere intellectual knowledge but rather an experience that allows a deep knowing that the human mind often cannot comprehend as it is a direct connection to heart intelligence.

This knowledge allows for peace of mind.

The programmes take place in Ljubljana on a regular basis. It is a deep spiritual work and truly inspiring to people who feel they are ready to commit to the highest aspects of themselves and in a practical sense to the work and joy of being present to the school of meditation as this allows for the deep transformation to become actual both in an energetic and practical way.

After a year of deep regular monthly work, a lot of people have already seen huge change in how they are and function.

About the solstice and equinox days

These will not be programmes, as such, but times for people to link in to these special dates. When reading the times mentioned UTC is the new way of expressing Greenwich Mean Time so the times given are accurate for England and Portugal and others in this time zone and the rest of Europe will be 1 hour ahead.

During these special global meditations Tony links in with everyone from his personal space and although he is always doing this anyway for those with the intention to join him at this time the effect of the union is synergistic. So it is good to focus on connecting to Tony and being open to the wonderful space that is created through this unique possibility.

Whatever you feel you wish to happen is the right thing to create. Any of the mediations that you create leading up to this time and of course your sleeping time afterwards will be very powerful.

We do nothing special but are aware of the moment in a more profound way as our ancestors were always aware but if you wish to be specific then perhaps some of the meditations on the website or in the book 'Shaman's Wisdom' may be useful. Also please consider eating special foods such as a vegetarian diet or healing foods to make the body lighter so that you may become more sensitive to the experience. The Day of Light ritual

The first day of the ancient calendars falls on the March equinox, the first day of spring, the day of light. At the time of the equinox, the sun is observed to be directly over the equator, and the north and south poles of the Earth lie along the solar terminator; sunlight is evenly divided between the north and south hemispheres.

It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical, vernal equinox, which usually occurs on March 21 or the previous/following day depending on where it is observed.  The moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator and equalizes night and day is calculated exactly every year.

In association with the "rebirth of nature," extensive spring-cleaning is a wonderful ritual to honor as the birth of a new year. This is also extended to the personal aspect with ones intention of this day as it is especially powerful for the rest of the year and often will affect the outcome of the rest of the year. So, if a person is warm and kind to their relatives, friends and neighbors on the day of light then the new year will be a good one.

It is wise to begin with cleaning homes, known as ‘spring cleaning.’ This is observed days before the day of light. Clean every part of your house, dust furniture and wash carpets. This is practiced to welcome the new spring season with freshness.

On the day of light the fire ritual, where a silver urn with a small fire nourished by sandalwood and 7 haoma seeds and the silent contemplation of light, allows for the fire symbolically to purify the inner fire of Divine Love.

Everyone present to the fire ceremony can toss a sandalwood twig into the fire, intending the offering to represent the relinquishing of some attachment or psychological limitation that one wishes to be consumed by the fire. The ritual thus symbolizes the physical representations of surrendering and giving up desires and limitations to the light of Divine love.
